This year, 7 of our undergraduate students had the amazing opportunity to attend the Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics (CU*iP). There were over 200 students in attendance at Purdue University, but there were many locations around the country. Purdue was an incredible campus to visit! We were all amazed by their food delivery robots that are found roaming campus at all hours of the day. They offered tours of their Birck Nanotechnology Center and the Purdue Rare Isotope MEasurement labs.
There were many opportunities for us to mingle with current graduate students and get advice from them. We all attended Meghan Anzelc’s incredible keynote address and multiple parallel sessions. A particularly helpful session was “Mitigating Harassment and Microaggressions”, and the speakers had a lot of stories to share and suggestions on this topic.
Two of our students had the opportunity to present their research. Aeralyn Flynn presented on “The Orbital History of Comet P/2022 R1” and Tali Lansing presented on “Motion Management Techniques for Lung SBRT: Dosimetric and Treatment Efficiency Comparison”.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to attend this conference!
